PHP Laravel Developer

Nimbus is looking for an experienced PHP Laravel Developer, to support the development team in shaping and accelerating our unique platform that makes it easier for digital agencies to manage their hosting. We’re a team that believes that fun and hard work come hand in hand. Breaks to play pool and have a beer on a Friday afternoon are encouraged. 

Nimbus is at the forefront of cloud hosting technology, built using PHP/Laravel. Our SaaS-based platform helps 100’s of agency owners easily manage their website hosting and build recurring revenue through our platform. We use an agile development approach with either weekly or fortnightly updates based on user feedback and internal innovations to continue to make it easier for our clients to do business. 

Ideal Candidate

• Existing PHP Developer with Laravel Experience
• Existing Developer who wants to get into PHP and Laravel
• DevOps Engineer who wants to get into Development
• Scrum Master

Reporting to our Head of Development

What you’ll need to succeed

• 3+ years of PHP experience
• We’re a people focused business so you’ll need a team and collaborative mindset
• Strong understanding of object oriented architecture and design patterns
• Experience with a modern JavaScript framework like Vue.js or similar
• Knowledge of modern CSS/HTML5 standards
• Laravel experience
• Understanding of Git
• MySQL experience
• Manual and Automated Testing
• Approachable and Sociable

Other useful skills:

• CMS Experience (WordPress, Magento, Drupal, etc)
• Understanding of Linux Operating systems
• Understanding of control panels such as Plesk and cPanel.
• Go (Golang)
• Agile processes
• Linux/System/Network Administration
• Experience in web hosting or within an agency environment
• Happy to mentor Junior Developers
